Our Solution

Invented by experienced color scientists and computer experts, Benevue Color Management System (BCMS) represents the culmination of a multi-year effort aimed at creating portable, cost-effective solutions to color measurement and tinting. This solution is based on the latest digital color management technology, and field usage has shown that it more than meets the color formulation demands of the paint industry.

Ease of Use

First and foremost, using BCMS is a breeze click a button on the portable color reader, and input three numbers into a web-page. The custom formula is just another mouse click away and of course, you must make sure to place the color reader's opening on the target color. That's it!

What's more, dealers can use BCMS from a desktop computer or any Internet friendly appliance and contractors or salesmen can use it in the field from wireless Internet devices. .

Functions

BCMS provides the three most important functions to dealers/contractors:

•  Look up the formula for any color in the manufacturer's deck.

•  Determine three colors from the manufacturer's deck that are closest to the target color.

•  In the event the fan deck color isn't close enough, it can provide a custom formula and display a color patch for the target color.

Ease of Setup

Setting up the system is also simple no need to determine properties of the bases and colorants. Simply supply the existing formulas of the fan-deck colors to Benevue in electronic form, and Benevue will complete the setup. We will also tell you if additional draw-downs are needed to enhance color coverage. In addition, we will make the BCMS functions accessible through your existing web-site.

What does a Paint Manufacturer have to do to use BCMS?

The Paint Manufacturer (PM) sends its fandeck and electronic formula book to Benevue in the prescribed format. That is all there is to it! We will do the rest. No need to send colorants or bases. There is no need to characterize the materials. It is all database driven.

In addition to Custom Tinting, the Server may be used for Formula Lookup for the PM's colors. It may also be used to find the PM's 3 Closest Colors to a sample color.

To use Benevue's services, the PM pays a setup fee, buys the number of Color Readers it needs, assigns each Reader to a User Group pays monthly usage fees. Benevue's monthly billing to the PM will show the usage for each Reader and the total usage for the Group to which the PM assigned it.

Each participating store will need access to the PM's Website. Only the PM's Color Readers have access to that PM's data on Benevue's server. In other words the Reader can only be used as authorized by the PM.
